#1

I just googled my blog and I was #1. Who has seen the SpongeBob episode where he says "He was #1."? Now the trick is to find a way to earn money from this...

P.S. I'll update later today.

Here's the update that I'm owing.

Here's an interesting fact. My last blog update was on the same day that I started writing in my new journal. My first one was given to me by my sister for my mission. It took a little over two years to fill it up. It was a nice journal too. My new one is bound with a red cover and is filled with graph paper. One of my first entries was me suggesting that maybe the graph paper will help me write better...or maybe not. At least I'm keeping to a grid format and aligning my paragraphs up.

As I was typing away the above paragraph, Emily shows up. She came to finish the massage that she was owing me. That and she wanted one too. Although I've never taken a class or course of any kind in message therapy. I guess I have magic hands. It's always nice to get a massage.

I signed up to receive a new font every day. I think I've only downloaded one so far. Most are fonts that I won't use, or I'd only use as a display font. (Aka, a headline or in large text.) I already have over 450 fonts, and although I'd like to get more, I'm learning that I won't necessarily need all 450+ fonts. I have found that I can tell the difference between fonts. I can't identify them, but I can tell you how many fonts someone used in a design.

Last week, I met with Jeff Hanson. He's one of the graphic design teachers here. He gave me good tips and helped me on one of my work assignments. I think I'm improving. He helped with the "Outstanding Students Present!" poster.

If you look at the font, you'll notice that it's made from cheese. I helped make an "M." There's just one thing that bugs me on the poster: the chunk of text ("Art Education...") isn't properly aligned to match the "Present!". It bugs me. #graphicdesignerproblems

What else was there to say...Here's something (first, why doesn't Safari red-line the typo of using ";" in place of "'"?) I have a date to the Spring Formal that's this Friday. ^^ I'll keep it a secret until after the fact. (-Insert maniacal laughter here-) It's a carnival theme. Red carnival themed. (Again with the italics.) Anyway...

Tomorrow is the Design Club's Gallery Talk. From 12-1 pm. You should come. The design teachers (mainly 4 people) will talk about their art, process, etc. It should be fun.

About 30 minutes ago, I finished my RA group interview. There are about 50 people applying for 6 spots. May the odds be in my favor. It was an interesting process. We were divided into 3 groups and we had 3 rooms to pass through. We had to choose 5 people to put into the only life boat, choose 2 teams of 3 RAs and describe how we'd solve resident problems.

So yeah. That's about all that's coming from my brain tonight. I type tonight because I'm ending this blog at about 9 pm. I started at about 4:30 pm. If I was being paid for this, then that would be great.

BYE!
