Potato Chips

Our sacrament today had some interesting talks. The first two were about the importance of the Relief Society (for those who don't know what that is, here's a link) and the third was about pornography and personal purity. Emily spoke of the latter. This is what I got from it; "Pornography isn't like potato chips. The 'just once' rule doesn't apply. AT ALL!" She did well. She spoke the truth. We and I mean everyone, can't risk a "just once." Emily said that she knows people that have crossed that line and can't come back. It's a hard life to live, but there's help.

"No matter what our transgressions have been, no matter how much our actions may have hurt others, that guilt can all be wiped out. To me, perhaps the most beautiful phrase in all scripture is when the Lord said, 'Behold, he who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven, and I, the Lord, remember them no more.'"
Think about that.
President Uchtdorf spoke at the fireside tonight and he talked about truth. He said that "it exists beyond belief. It still exists even if no one believes in it." Some crazy stuff.
Well, the first week of school is over and it's been somewhat boring. I've had little homework and what I did have didn't take that long to complete. I did get to work some this week. Oh! I saw my Art Auction poster up in the Braithwaite Gallery on Thursday. I even saw my boss, for the second time in my life. The other time was when I was interviewed for the job. Since it's a computer job, I just do the work form my room. All though I do need to stop by Michael's office next week to pick up my posters. The next Art Insights is a Show-Off and I'm going to enter some of my posters.
What else has happened this week? Well, Scott has commissioned me to do an art work. I won't say what it is in case he happens to read this post. Mom is sending some prints of my holiday cards. She had some problems with printing some of them, but hopefully that won't be a constant issue. I probably won't become rich from the cards, but if I can earn more than what I do working here at SUU, then I'll be happy. As I mentioned in a different post, once they're online, I'll share the link. I'm also thinking of going on a date this week, but I don't know what we'd do in the snow. I don't have a car and it's rather COLD. Does anyone have any thoughts?

That should be enough blabbing from me. Go! Be free!
