"Here."
I'm here and present. I finally decided to update my blog, after two weeks or so...I'll clue you in on what's been happening.
In Drawing, we were using conté crayons, which are amazing. We were drawing statues in drapery and here's my piece that made it to the teacher's wall. I was soo happy ^^.

Mckenzie and I, with Tim and Michaela, went on a photo scavenger hunt date. It was pretty fun. Here we had to play rock, paper, scissors on an outside bench. That's an actual action shot too.
Fall Break came and gone. I had to feed myself, but it wasn't too bad. Mom was awesome and gave me grocery money and I even stayed within the amount she gave me. Thanks mom! Oh, that scooter's battery died. I took it to NAPA and they said that it died. Ever since, I've been trying to find a new battery. However, today it's raining and it's suppose to snow this weekend. I'm thinking of not buying the battery. No sense in buying one if it's going to snow and I can't use the scooter.
Two recent movies that I've seen, actually three, are "Tangled," "I am #4," and "The Avengers." All good movies. I recommend them to all. Since it was Fall Break, there was no official FHE. So, I hosted it here at Cedar South and we had dinner too. It was great. I also started to watch, again, Ben 10. I wasted some time watching it, but in the end, I watched all the episodes that I missed. Now to wait until tomorrow to watch the new one...
I also went to Taco Tuesday at Café Rio with Kaden and Alex. I'm not a huge fan of restaurant tacos, but they were decent. I also noticed that the Fanta Orange tastes different than the Brazilian Fanta Orange. Weird.
Oh, by the way, Dollar Store Mac & Cheese isn't that great. Don't buy it.
My bug, as seen in earlier posts, got 100%! Russell didn't like the base, but I still did well! ^^ As for my cube made from wax paper, it didn't turn out too well...I still got a decent grade, but still. As for the current project, it'll turn out well. I'll fill you in after it's done. The Institute Trunk-o-Treat and Dance was great. I went as mummy. Aka, I wore white clothes and wrapped myself in white streamers. A decent costume. There were amazing costumes there. Even Link showed up for the party! If only I had brought my camera...I was afraid he'd mistake me for a Re-dead and try to slash me with Master Sword...
We also had Stake Conference and I was in the choir. We sung well, if I don't say so myself...cough...cough... President Crankshaw said that after Pres. Monson's announcement, there are over 100 applicants in the stake to serve missions. Epic. Next semester should have a small student body because of that. The talks were good too. I would have included my self-portrait piece from Drawing, but I don't seem to have a picture of it saved on my computer. Oops.
Our last 3d project changed overnight. I walked into class and I saw a jellyfish instead of a spiral. Doesn't matter, because version 2 turned out way better than version 1. There it is. What do you guys think and what do you see in it? Russell liked it. ^^
I went to a letterpress workshop on campus. For Art Insights, Jeff Hanson (a graphic design teacher) brought in one of his students from back East and she talked about letterpressing and gave us a demo. I went to the morning session, although the afternoon one would have been great. They got to create prints on a digital letterpress.
I voted! My first time too!
Last night was my Orientation Leader, group interview. To start out with, we had to figure out who we were with yes/no questions. I was Hermione Granger. Afterwards we divided into groups, with an OLeader, and look at potential candidates from a list. We also did a 1 minute skit about SUU, had a few ice-breaking activities and I had fun the whole 3 hours that I was there. I also found out today that I passed that interview and I signed up for my next one for next Tuesday at 3 pm. I hope that they hire me. It'll be a fun job. I really enjoyed the 3 hours. I even meet (or rather re-meet) Kathy, who'll be my French tutor and I'll be her Portuguese tutor.
There you have it folks. A rough summary of the past two weeks. Why is it raining? I'm not ready for winter. Why can't I have my Brazilian weather?
