Thursday was my first photography critique and I volunteered to go first. Since it was the first critique, our teacher'll go easy on us when she grades. Some people liked my sunset picture. Isn't it pretty? That was taken on the stake date hike as we were getting into Makenzie's car.
I also presented my Graphic Club Social poster to the club presidency. They liked it was well as my little handouts that I made during my printing press time. Here's the new one, since we changed our event and the day.
At Art Insights, the art director from Blizzard came and told his story. It was cool. He showed us how we could be hired by Blizzard or another major art company. We just have to do our best and know our art skills well. He said he won't hire someone who can't draw proper anatomy.
As for Friday, we started doing perspective drawings in Drawing I. I like perspective. ^^ Although one assignment I didn't really like because it messed with my brain. We had to draw boxes according to an eye-line. I would have rather drawn each box with its own respective eye-line. Oh well.
I also went to the Saint George Temple with Spencer. It was a nice visit. I loved how it was so quiet and peaceful in the temple. You were alone with your thoughts. It was nice. I also went to the Institute Dance and I finally danced with people. I'm still hesitant because it seems like a strange thing to do. However, I will go forward and not backwards.
Saturday was a non-productive day. I need to better plan my Saturdays.
Sunday was the Brigham City Temple dedication. It was nice. Pres. Packer said the dedication prayer, and sadly I didn't get the full effect because I fell asleep during it. >< I didn't sleep well that night...The fireside was good. Elder Doxy from the Seventy came and talked to us, and other stakes. He talked about faith and that there's a love that awaits us. (Eternal and temporal.) It was a reminder to just keep going forward with faith and patience.
I have decided to host a Brazilian lunch this Saturday. I have already sent out the invitations and I'm just waiting until Thursday to start asking people to buy their part of the meal. If I can, I'll make dessert. I just need to find one ingredient. It's really good, so I hope that I can find it.
