Mitochondrial DNA

Did you know that back in the 1900's, biologists found a piece of DNA which has been labeled as mitochondrial (mtDNA)?

This strand of DNA is usually inherited by the mother. They've also found out that this strand only changes about 2-4% ever 1 million years.

So, through studies in Brazil, Europe and the US, they have found that we all virtually share the same strand of mtDNA. Therefore, the biologists have been able to trace this DNA back through the years, coming to the conclusion that there is only one race and that we share the same common ancestor.

Hmm... why does that sound familiar... Maybe because I knew that. Score one for the Gospel!

Now, race doesn't exist. However, the rest of the world will disagree because of the following theory.

The Thomas Theorem:
"If men define situations as real, they are real in their consequences" Via Wiki.
So because everyone believes that there is more than one race, we believe it. In reality, there is one race and many ethic categories.

I have nothing else to say.
