Ever played Mertoid Prime Hunters DS? If you haven't, then you're missing out! I believe last Thursday night, Phil and I play for about two hours and it was a blast! Metroid is a first person shooter. So, just about every night since, we've been playing over wi-fi. The best part was when the timer was running out and at the last second, I jumped to attack Phil and ended up stuck in mid-air (the game freezes your position when time runs out.) Phil was "Where are you-AHHH!" realizing that I was right on top of him. It was great.
On another note, Mr. Disney is a genius! I watched Aladdin at Phil's house the other day (and we have been singing the songs since) and I'm just amazed at the stuff he (Mr. Disney) came up with. Next on the list is Alice in Wonderland, especially before the new version with Johnny Depp comes out in March(?). My plan is to go as Jafar for Halloween, I just need to make the costume. This'll be my last Halloween before I leave to serve a 2 year church mission, but when I get back, (cackles maniacally.)
Just watching Aladdin has given Phil and I some thought in wanting to be voice actors. I googled some stuff and it's not that easy to get in. 9 out of 10 times you'll be rejected for the part. In the meantime, we're trying to practice with some characters we've created in the hopes that we could animate them and be their voices. The issue is animating....
Well, CC (aka school) starts for me next Monday. Luckily I get a two hour lunch between French and Myth & Folklore. I'm also going to be working at the Writing Center being a tutor. I believe the pay is about $9/hr(?). I'll be working from 2:30 to 4:00, Monday thru Friday.
Phil and I ordered some button pins on Saturday (I'll post photos once we get them.) My hope is that we'll like them and then want to start making more in the idea of putting together packages of three for either selling or for little goodie bags. What think you on pricing for three 1.25 inch buttons? Phil says he can get one from Hastings for $1.99, but you have factor in shipping as well. For two buttons, it cost about $4.91, so that's about $2.45 per button. Sounds reasonable, right?
Adios, mata ashita,
Mr. Turner
